Replacing the roof covering and the associated repairs to the roof structure are particularly important for preserving the historic building. Work will continue through October of this year without restricting access to the monastery garden or the Senior Community Center. Of course, extra caution will be necessary when moving around the construction site. Although the facade is not being repaired at this stage, scaffolding must be erected around the building due to the roof work. In January, the first inspection days took place with the participation of staff from the heritage office and in cooperation with environmental supervision. Heritage preservationists have approved the window designs and modifications to the original structures, while environmental supervisors are ensuring the preservation of the bat colony in the attic and the swifts nesting on the facade.
