Strengthening bilateral cooperation

The aim of the municipality of Zašové is to increase the attractiveness of the local cultural heritage - the presentation of the only preserved Trinitarian monastery in the Czech Republic and its surroundings.

Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Funds

Thanks to the implementation of the project: innovative use of the cultural heritage of the Trinitarian monastery in Zašová, which is financially supported by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Funds, an innovative interactive tool for visitors to the cultural monument has been created. It is a mobile game that presents cultural heritage and educates through games in an augmented virtual environment.

Other outputs of the project include established partnerships that contribute to the transfer of good experiences, the promotion of cultural cooperation and ultimately the strengthening of bilateral relations.

On the occasion of the Norwegian partners' business trip to the Czech Republic, the first planned seminar was held on 5 October 2023 in the Cultural House Zašová. In the morning, the performers presented the history and vision of the monastery in Zašová, then the actual creation of the mobile game was presented and the bilateral cooperation with the Norwegian partners, who themselves had their own contribution during the presentation, was presented. After the end of the seminar in the hall, the participants moved to the outdoor area and had the opportunity to try out the game directly with the creators of the game.

The seminar was attended by the project partners, professionals from the cultural and heritage sector, representatives from the Zlín Region and local municipalities, information centre staff and Czech Radio.

A FEW WORDS FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF ZAŠOVÁ

It was very beneficial to hear and see a summary of the whole process of the creation of the game as an innovative way of bringing the history of our village and its monuments to the general public from the mouth of the team of their creators. For the further promotion of the municipality, I positively evaluate the participation of representatives of information centres and government administration in the workshop. Since the day the game was launched, we have been meeting especially young people with cell phones in hand, walking the route and welcoming this opportunity. Despite some minor problems in launching the game on a completely new platform, the game has already established itself as one of the ways to get to know our community. I hope that it will inspire neighbouring towns and cities or representatives of heritage sites to implement similar, modern ways of promoting places.

A FEW WORDS FROM THE NORWEGIAN PARTNER VERDIVERKSTEDET AS

Our trip to the Czech Republic was an amazing experience that we will never forget. We tasted great food, we saw beautiful views and of course we met nice people who were part of the creation of the project. It was incredible to try the whole mobile game in practice, when we only worked from the visual part during the creation. It was fun to see the story come together.

Working from abroad brought with it a lot of challenges and obstacles as we almost always communicated via email, but in the end we managed to reach an understanding and create something fantastic and unique. It was a really great working experience.
