The village of Zašová has set up a transparent account to support the restoration of the monastery. Any contribution is welcome and will show that you care about the future of our village’s most significant cultural landmark.
The account number for the monastery restoration fund is 131-4251500227/0100.
The first phase of the approved renovation of the Baroque monastery, which is owned by the municipality and registered as a cultural monument, is currently underway. This phase primarily involves renovations to the second floor, where classrooms for the elementary art school will be created. On the ground floor, only the access corridors and staircase will be renovated, and on the third floor, three smaller rooms will be renovated, which will also serve as classrooms for the elementary art school. Although the municipality is utilizing available grant funds, the renovation is largely financed from the municipal budget. Therefore, the municipal council has decided to allow all philanthropists—including local residents, natives, and patriots, as well as entrepreneurs and businesses—to contribute to the gradual renovation and, thereby, the preservation of this unique cultural monument through a public fundraising campaign.
We believe that thanks to this campaign, the renovation will be able to continue in subsequent phases. We could now use the funds raised from the collection to renovate a section of the facade that is not included in this phase. It was very difficult to erect scaffolding on the east side of the building to replace the roofing, so it would be advisable to use it now to repair the facade, thereby saving costs in the future.
Many citizens,
